The next week or so was pretty tough for Averie. In addition to having to figure out how to make a living for herself when she was still too young to get a job decent enough to help meet her needs, she also was dealing with the loss of her father. As she was doing her homework on Sunday afternoon, just one day after hearing about what happened to Daddy, Averie decided that she needed to take a break from high school. She cashed in her vacation days and decided to focus on her father’s memory.
One of their favorite things to do together was go fishing. So Averie spent quite a bit of downtime fishing, while reflecting on memories of time spent with her dad.
Averie kept her best catches. Her dad would be so proud. They had never ever caught a Bonefish before!
Averie also started collecting various items that she found while along her journey called life. She has decided that her dream is going to be to go to far off places and find treasures there to bring home for people to see for themselves. Of course, she has to be a little bit older first!
Averie also started a garden, hoping that she could sell enough flowers and produce to help meet her needs. There is also one dragonfruit growing inside since it’s spring and growing season for dragonfruit is fall.
What would have been nice is if Averie was able to participate in the Lottery! It came through on Wednesday, and of course, Averie was too young to play. She didn’t understand how she could be old enough to have to look out for herself, but she was too young to play a game that could help her and many others in the future.
One of the other things Averie learned from her dad was to help others, and be respectful and kind. She spent quite a bit of time volunteering at various places in the area. Even though she barely had anything for herself, she knew it was important to give back to others.
The garden proved to be very lucrative, especially after adding 12 birds of paradise Averie found at the Romance Festival. Her garden easily gave a few thousand worth of produce a day. She decided that it was time to move to a bigger house. She fell in love with this house in Brindleton Bay. After purchasing it, unfurnished, she had enough to buy a bed a toilet. She replanted her plants here, though, so she would quickly be able to afford other things.
